School trip - Provence 2008

The annual Provence Trip set off with 45 students and 5 teachers for La Vallée Verte camp site in Provence on Monday 6 October. On the Tuesday we ‘climbed’ the famous Mont Ventoux by way of narrow and very steep footpaths. A full lunch was served at the summit, after which we made the descent by mountain bike.

The next day was given over to a programme of cultural activities: Nîmes and Pont du Gard. On the third day we visited the towns of Orange en Avignon with a lovely wine tasting and guided tour on the way back. On the last day – the Friday – we walked to the Cascades, enormous waterfalls, following which we all went on a canoe trip.
 
There was an excellent meal each evening and a full buffet breakfast each morning with really great activities in the evening. We had a really enjoyable and sportive week at La Vallée Verte in de Provence!
